The People Are The Problem : 11 Quotes

'Life is a well of delight; but where the rabble also drink, there all fountains are poisoned.'

Friedrich Nietzsche

'Last October fourth, toward the end of one of those idle, gloomy afternoons I know so well how to spend, I happened to be in the Rue Lafayette: after stopping a few minutes at the stall outside the Humanité bookstore and buying Trotsky's latest work, I continued aimlessly in the direction of the Opéra. The offices and workshops were beginning to empty out from top to bottom of the buildings, doors were closing, people on the sidewalk were shaking hands, and already there were more people in the street now. I unconsciously watched their faces, their clothes, their way of walking. No, it was not yet these who would be ready to create the Revolution...'

André Breton

'During the French Revolution, you had the choice between the cruel Robespierre and the great Danton. You chose cruelty and sent greatness and kindness to the gallows.

In Germany, you had the choice between Goering and Himmler on the one hand and Liebknecht, Landau and Mühsam on the other. You made Himmler your chief of police, and you murdered your true friends. You had the choice between Julius Streicher and Walter Rathenau. You murdered Rathenau.

You had the choice between Lodge and Wilson. You murdered Wilson.

You had the choice between the cruel Inquisition and the truth of Galileo. You tortured to death the great Galileo, from whose discoveries you are profiting, by submitting him to utter humiliation. In the twentieth century, you have again brought to flower the methods of the Inquisition.

You had the choice between an understanding of mental disease and shock therapy. You chose shock therapy, in order not to have to realize the gigantic dimensions of your own misery, in order to continue to remain blind where only open, clear eyes can help.

You have the choice between ignorance of the cancer cell and my disclosure of its secrets, which could and will save millions of human lives. You keep repeating the same stupidities about cancer in periodicals and newspapers and keep silent about the knowledge which might save your child, your wife or your mother.

You starve and die by the million, but you fight the Mohammedans about the sacredness of cows, Little Indian Man. You go in rags, Little Italian and Little Slav of Trieste, but you have no other worry than whether Trieste is "Italian" or "Slavic". I thought Trieste was a harbour for ships from all over the world.

You hang the Hitlerites after they have murdered millions of people. What were you thinking before they had killed millions? Aren't dozens of corpses enough to make you think? Does it take millions of corpses to stir your humanity?

Each one of these pettinesses elucidates the gigantic misery of the animal, man...'

Wilhelm Reich

'And you think you're so clever and classless and free.
But you're still fucking peasants as far as I can see...'

John Lennon

'People aren't very bright, you know. They say they want freedom, but when they get the chance, they pass up Nietzsche and choose Hitler, because he would march into a room to speak and music and lights would come on at strategic moments.'

David Bowie

'This is Joe Public speaking.
I'm controlled in the body.
I'm controlled in the mind....'

The Clash

'I've met the man in the street and he's a cunt.'

Sid Vicious

'If you listen real hard you can hear the sound
of a million people switching off for work.
Well, Listen Mr.Average
you're a jerk...'

Wham!

'Corrupting your children, telling lies
Complacent cowards, wasting your lives
You've got freedom of speech and nothing to say
Put your trust in politicians and believe you're safe.

Say you're respectable, put on your disguise
When faced with the truth you close your eyes
There are millions of you and more will follow
Make sure we never have a better tomorrow.'

Vice Squad

'You're so hassled because you're female. You're so hassled that anything where there's other people involved immediately becomes a horrible experience. Just PEOPLE SUCK MAN! I mean I hate to generalise like that but the human race gets in my face.'

Lydia Lunch

'Oh, lay these soulless and temporary platitudes on me! Let us cram these tiny minds with illusions of worth and toil, whilst violence, ignorance, and ugliness abound in our own homes.

Crippled old England is so BUSY treating the symptoms and not the cause, so furiously attacking huge-scale problems and ignoring the "small scale" misery of the average man. Love thy neighbour? Bollocks. LOVE THY SLOGAN rings far truer.

There is no love or compassion in England, only a desperate eagerness to demonstrate our superlative magnaminity: THINGS ARE NOT CHANGING, THEY ARE SIMPLY BEING PAINTED A DIFFERENT COLOUR. A fucking miracle is needed to extinguish the suppressed anger, the pompous glory-box nationalism, the armchair communism, the sheer and terrifying bulk of ignorance we so fondly refer to as our society.'

David Icke Changes His Mind About Jesus

I'm here quoting extracts from three books by David Icke, published between 1994 and 1999. All of these represent views expressed, by Mr.Icke, about Jesus Christ. After these, there is a somewhat more recent quote, and, finally, a comment from me.

DAVID ICKE : THE ROBOTS' REBELLION : The Story of the Spiritual Renaissance (Gateway Books, 1994) : Chapter 4 Bible Stories

'..a child was born called Jeshuah. The stories of his life would later be translated into Greek and it was then that the Jewish Jeshuah became the Greek version, Jesus.. He was, I believe, born and brought up as an Essene.. It is possible that Buddha, Socrates, and Jesus were the same consciousness and certainly the same overall higher self...

..The Essenes were a brotherhood who worked a great deal in secret. But as I continue to stress, secrecy does not always mean conspiracy in times of great religious imposition.. I think Jesus was such a strong character that he would have made his own mind up about things...

..I believe that the man known as Joseph of Arimathea could have been the father of Jesus and not his uncle as the stories claim. This is a thought which keeps coming to me again and again, and others have channelled this information... This was a closely guarded secret known only to a few...

..We are looking here again at a highly significant incarnation of the volunteer consciousness. The story of Jesus and others in the Middle East was only part of what was happening at that time. All over the world other volunteers had incarnated to co-ordinate their work... Jesus travelled further afield in the so called 'lost years' which are left blank by the Bible...

..He was also channelling highly potent energies into the Earth's energy grid. He had an energy field which allowed him to channel energies of immense power which would have 'fried' most other people...' (pgs 61-63)

'..Jesus was nailed to a cross, the Roman punishment at the time, but I do not believe he died there...' (pg.65)

'..In the hours before his apparent 'death' he was the focal point in a vast energy channelling being coordinated by the higher levels right across the world...

..After a long convalescence, he recovered and left the region with Joseph and the two Marys to continue the work of energy channelling and passing on information. I feel he travelled to places like Italy, Crete, France and India where he might have died a very old man in Kashmir.. During a vision of the crucifixion which I had on one occasion, I channelled a series of short sentences which said:

"Essenes, Qumran. Time to recover. Illusion complete. Opposition believe I an dead. Much travel. Long lifetime. Three children by two women." (pg.67)

'..Jesus had used the Jewish belief in a Messiah figure and the predictions of previous Jewish prophets to create interest in himself and therefore his words. It was like building a public platform from which he could speak his truths...' (pg.68)

'..What I have no doubt about are the following: The overall reason for the Jesus incarnation; that he did not die on the cross; and that he was not celibate...' (pg.69)

DAVID ICKE : ...AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE : The most explosive book of the 20th Century (Bridge of Love Publications, 1995/1st re-print)

'..The birth of Y'shua (Jesus), as described in the Gnostic Gospels, also has similarities to modern day ET experiences. The Protoevangelion of James.. describes the birth of Y'shua and how people and animals froze in mid-gesture in a powerful, though temporary paralysis, while Joseph and the midwife were unaffected. This is very much a theme of ET contactee/abductee experiences. The text goes on: [Quotation refers to luminous cloud overshadowing cave, at the time of birth, and, immediately after it goes, a dazzling light shining in]

..The connections with 'gods' and 'clouds' are endless in the ancient legends and texts and what about the 'star' that was supposed to have hovered over the birthplace of Y'shua? Why could that not have been a spacecraft? In the biblical Revelations we hear of the New Jerusalem descending from the sky (Rev 22:10) and Y'shua returning 'with the clouds' (Rev 1:7). Was Y'shua a member of a positive extraterrestrial race who became incarnate to help humanity get out of prison? It is certainly a possibility...' (pg.14

DAVID ICKE : THE BIGGEST SECRET : The book that will change the world (Bridge of Love Publications, 1999)

'..To the orthodox Christian, Jesus is the only begotten Son of God who died so our sins could be forgiven. But you will find exactly the same claims for a stream of 'gods' in the ancient world long before the name of 'Jesus' was even heard of. Indeed, we know his name wasn't Jesus because that's a Greek translation of a Jewish name. The term Son of God would seem to originate at least as far back as the Aryan Gothic Kings of Cilicia who took the title 'Son of the Sun God', a tradition adopted by the Pharaohs of Egypt. To many in the New Age, Jesus is Sananda, a high initiate of some spiritual hierarchy who incarnated to infuse the Earth with the 'Christ' energy. Or, depending on who you talk to, he was an extraterrestrial on a similar mission. To others he was claiming to be the King of the 'Jews' by right of his King David bloodline. But did Jesus actually exist? Did Moses, Solomon and King David exist? I would say categorically no. There is no credible evidence for the existence of any of them outside the biblical texts and they are certainly not credible...' (pg.80)

'..There is no credible evidence whatsoever for the existence of Jesus. No archaelogical evidence, no written evidence, nothing...' (pg.100)

DAVID ICKE : Reply to Nexus publisher, Duncan Roads' response to David Icke's Exposé that Sir Laurence Gardner is a Shape-Shifting Reptilian (on-line source)

Duncan Roads, Nexus Magazine:

I am aware that your own views of history incorporate the belief that Christ did not exist.

David Icke:

As I have said many times, my research points to the fact that no 'historical Jesus Christ' ever existed. Was there ever a Jewish man named "Jesus Christ"? Or is this a perversion by way of intentional frauds by the church? The answers are no there was not and yes it is.

And how come the "Jesus" stories are awash with exactly the same events and experiences told about countless pre-Christian deities going back thousands of years? Just a co-incidence?

I am far from the only one who challenges the literal existence of the Biblical "Jesus". If he did not exist, of course, there cannot be a bloodline back to him, which is the whole foundation of Sir Laurence (Gardner)'s work. He has a right to say one thing. I have a right to say another. Simple.

[In his next reply to Mr.Roads]

Really Duncan, this is just silly. I really don't give a damn whether people believe in the historical Jesus or whether they think (Zecharia) Sitchin is correct in everything he says. Why on Earth should that matter to me? It is none of my business what people believe.. People should read what I wrote, what Sitchin writes, and what Sir Laurence writes. Then they should come to their own conclusions. I couldn't care less what those conclusions are because it is none of my business...

In 1994, David Icke stated that Jesus/Jeshuah was '..a highly significant incarnation of the volunteer consciousness..', who was crucified, under the Roman punishment, at the time. Mr.Icke further stated that he believed Jesus survived this ordeal, and travelled to other countries. He casually mentioned a 'vision of the crucifixion' he once had, during the course of which he 'channelled a series of short sentences', seeming to pertain to the life of Jesus.

In 1995, David Icke asked whether Jesus/Y'shua was '..a member of a positive extraterrestrial race who became incarnate to help humanity get out of prison?', and considered this to be '..certainly a possibility'. Somewhat of a change, perhaps, from the previous year, when he had stated that he was in '..no doubt about.. the reason for Jesus' incarnation...'

In 1999, David Icke told his readers that: '..To many in the New Age, Jesus is Sananda, a high initiate of some spiritual hierarchy who incarnated to infuse the Earth with the 'Christ' energy. Or, depending who you talk to, he was an extraterrestrial on a similar mission...' Curiously, these sentences more-or-less describe his own views on Jesus, which he had treated us to in the two books of 1994 and 1995 - and, yet, he mentions absolutely nothing, in 1999, of having held and published these views himself. Not only does he not carefully explain to the reader why he has changed his mind so drastically about Jesus, he doesn't even briefly acknowledge that he has changed his mind: '..But did Jesus actually exist? Did Moses, Solomon and King David exist? I would say categorically no...'

Between 1994 and 1999, David Icke has enigmatically, without any proffered explanation that I'm aware of, gone from having 'no doubt' that Jesus really lived as an 'incarnation of the volunteer consciousness' to stating that there 'is no credible evidence whatsoever for the existence of Jesus...'

Finally, in one reiteration of his view that Jesus didn't exist, to Duncan Roads, David Icke stated that he didn't give a damn if people believed in the historical Jesus, and that it was none of his 'business' what people believe, or what their conclusions were, after they'd read what he wrote and what two other writers, with different views, wrote.

But, surely this cannot logically be true: if Mr.Icke really didn't give a damn what people believe, he wouldn't communicate his views, at all, on this matter. He would simply keep all his views to himself. It is surely logical to point out that David Icke's views on Jesus have formed part of published books, which have not been given away for free, or on a non-profit basis. Therefore, Mr.Icke's views on Jesus, propounded in books published in 1994, 1995 and 1999, suggest that he is interested in affecting the thinking of others, in some manner, and that this is certainly part of his 'business'. The more people that tend to believe what he has written, the more book sales he will be likely to benefit from.

As far as I can see, all statements that David Icke has made over the years to the effect that he doesn't care what people think about him, or what they believe concerning things he's written, or spoken about, can't be supported by the character of his actions during this period of time.

But, perhaps, I'm missing something - if so, please let me know. And, if you have any insight into David Icke's radical change of mind about Jesus - I'd be interested in what you might know about that, as well.
